General Rules

 

*     Keep all vehicles on roads or in designated parking areas.
*     5 mph speed limit
*     Pets must be kept under control.
*     Build fires only in rings or grills provided.
*     Camp only in designated areas.
*     Do not litter, or remove or destroy natural features or park structures.
*     Do not pick, cut or destroy vegitation.
*     Gathering mushrooms, berries, or nuts is permitted EXCEPT at Starr's Cave Preserve
*     Firearms are permitted only in designated hunting areas.  You must attend a Shooting Range Certification course
    to use the Big Hollow Creek Shooting Ranges.
*     Report all accidents to the Park Ranger or County Conservation Office.
*     Do not leave boats unattended.
*     Keg parties are allowed by permit only.
*     Park hours are from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

 

The mission of the Des Moines County Conservation Board shall be to conserve, preserve, develop, and
promote the wise use of Des Moines County's natural resources and to enhance the quality of the life experience.
